Diskeeper 2011 (build 956) Update

by Michael 20. May 2011 07:45

Here is a list of the fixes and new features of the latest Diskeeper 2011 build.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an incorrect warning in the Performance Report. If a volume is smaller than 2GB (e.g. a recovery partition), on which IntelliWrite may not be enabled, this is not flagged in the Performance Report as a non-optimal configuration.

New Features:

  • Added date, time, and product version to the saved and printed Job Reports.
  • IntelliWrite, if you have licensed HyperFast, can now be enabled on SSD-backed volumes (note the default setting is "off").

Build 954? But I thought build 954 was released almost two month ago in April.

See here: www.diskeeper.com/.../...2011-Update-(150954).aspx

Perhaps you have mistaken the build number of the most recent build?

You are correct John - a typo on my part. The new build will posted early this week for update/download.

*intelliWrite, if you have licensed HyperFast, can now be enabled on SSD-backed volumes (note the default setting is "off")*

- is it beneficial to enable this feature on ssds?

So if I'm reading this part correctly that you can turn on IntelliWrite on SSD drives now?

IntelliWrite, if you have licensed HyperFast, can now be enabled on SSD-backed volumes (note the default setting is "off").

TIA,

Daniel

IntelliWrite is beneficial in that it reduces the number of disk I/O writes to the SSD.

The post on the build release was a few days early.
