Elevated Support Manager

Elevated Support Manager

The Elevated Support Manager is responsible for seeing that all elevated tech support tickets and customer tech support needs are handled promptly with excellent results.


Department: Sales

Location:Remote- This is a full-time work from home position.

Remote requirements: Must have an appropriate work space to work from home with a high-speed internet connection.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support and assistance to clients via email, phone, and/or other remote methods for complex issues not immediately resolved or not resolved by initial solutions/recommendations provided.
  • Addresses and responds to customer inquiries on organizational products and services, including installation, operational functions, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Provides customers with preventive maintenance and configuration recommendations to improve product usability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assists sales group in presenting and reviewing product benefits to customers or potential customers.
  • Documents client interactions, including details of inquiries, complaints, recommendations, comments, and actions taken.
  • Documenting product weak points so that the product can be improved.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the organization's products and services.
  • Providing reports and other administration necessary to the function or as requested by management.
  • Training of Technical Support Representatives and Sales Engineers on new technologies and products.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 - 6 years experience in computer networking and the ability to quickly troubleshoot connectivity and permissions issues
  • Knowledge of Windows file systems
  • Knowledge and Administration of current Windows operating systems and computer networking
  • Hands-on experience with storage area networking, backup and recovery applications, databases, cluster servers, virtual systems – VMware / Hyper V / Citrix, Active Directory, Networking, SQL Server
  • Expert in trouble-shooting complex hardware and software issues
  • Expert understanding of SAN / NAS / RAID technology
  • 3 – 6 years of hands on experience with Microsoft Windows workstation (Windows 7, 8 and 10) and server OS's (Server 2008 - Server 2016.
  • At least 3 years corporate level technical support experience
  • Experience using Salesforce and Visual Studio software.
  • Power Microsoft Excel user a plus.
  • Experience with virtualization a plus

Education:

  • BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent technical experience
  • MSCE or other certifications are a plus

  • Able to provide prompt, professional, and friendly support to customers
  • Team player, able to work with a team in a positive, upbeat manner
  • Organized and able to work independently
