Senior Regional Solutions Engineer (SRSE)

As a Senior Regional Solutions Engineer (SRSE) you will provide technical assistance on sales calls, tags, product reviews, and technical interface with customers and our partners. This position also gives technical support to PR, Marketing and Sales through trade show attendance, presentations, channel trainings, technical sales aids, product training and testing, Webinar presentations and hosting, etc. The ideal candidate has strong people skills, such as working with customers and sales team members to further product or technology sales.


Department: Sales

Location:This is a 100% REMOTE position, servicing customers in the Eastern United States. But a successful candidate can reside anywhere in the United States.

Depending on experience - on-target-earnings up to $125,000/year + benefits.

Travel may be required to customer sites, up to 20%, with short stays in hotels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Acting as a Trusted Advisor to the customer while providing sales support via phone, e-mail or site visit to customer’s location
  • Providing technical assistance and support for customers involved in a sales cycle
  • Providing technical assistance and support for sales staff, marketing and PR
  • Prioritizes workflow using Salesforce CRM
  • Representing the company at trade shows and events and gathering customer and market intelligence and trends at the shows or events
  • Posting blogs related to the company products, or general technology and technical trends
  • Creating white papers, case studies and test cases to educate customers and potential customers, sales staff, channel partners, etc.
  • Training sales and other staff, channel partners, VARs, resellers, etc., on our products and related technologies
  • Webinar development/presentation and hosting
  • Gathering customer feedback on products, technologies and what customer and market needs are, and giving this feedback to management, marketing, PR, sales and engineering
  • Carrying out speaking engagements for the company
  • Creating and maintaining an organized, relevant and easily searchable library of technical writings and materials useful to sales, marketing, PR, Channel sales, etc.

REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree/diploma in computer systems technology, electrical engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience in the Windows environment, with deep knowledge of system operation. Must have a basic knowledge of Windows desktop/server systems and hands-on skills such as: knows current operating systems, basic system administration, system imaging, backups, restores and installation
  • Sufficient technical depth to communicate with the development team and other internal organizations on behalf of the customer
  • Three years of experience in a technical and customer/client facing role such as, but not limited to: Field Applications Engineer, Sales Support Engineer, Technical Support, Desktop Support, Helpdesk, pre-sales support, post-sales support or similar such roles
  • Ability to interact and communicate (verbal and written) with the customers’ technical and management personnel, including polished presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage and prioritize concurrent technical support demands
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 20% to customer sites as required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • At least 2 years managing a similar function with a demonstrated ability to manage professional level employees

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideally has some prior experience as a Field Applications Engineer or Sales Support Engineer, preferred with software products on the Windows platform and virtual environments.
  • Basic System Administration skills on the Windows platform
  • SQL database administrator experience desirable
  • Knowledge or experience with Computer Storage devices

Market Development Sales Representative

The Market Development Sales Representative is an entry-level sales position that assists a team of senior sales representatives in selling Condusiv’s I/O reduction software products to IT Professionals looking to improve application performance on Windows servers in small to medium sized businesses as well as large enterprises.

The primary role is generating a high volume of outbound communication over phone and email to both existing customer accounts and marketing qualified leads to set up appointments for senior sales representatives. As much as a large part of the role can feel as though it is a telemarketing role due to the volume of outbound calls and emails required to be successful, there is never any cold calling and there is opportunity to take a larger role in the sales process.

The Market Development Sales Representative will assist seasoned sales representatives and be part of the entire sales cycle from prospect to customer while learning from senior members of the team. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to effectively pitch the product. They can grow beyond appointment setting to being able to handle over-the-phone appointments with smaller accounts, demonstrate the ability to deliver a full product presentation and assist with testing the software.

Compensation: On target earnings are $50,000/year, full benefits

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets appointments for senior sales representatives by calling on marketing generated leads and existing customers.
  • Sources, develops and passes on leads for major sales to the Regional Vice President.
  • Meets quotas for calls, emails, contacts and appointments set.
  • Presents the product to smaller prospective accounts, taking them through the sales cycle to purchase.
  • Works with resellers and distributors to generate quotes and expedite orders.
  • Keeps a complete record of all sales activities in the Salesforce CRM according to guidelines and best practices established by management.
  • Demonstrates masterful skill in using the marketing and sales talking points to tell Condusiv's value proposition in a natural and compelling fashion.
  • Continually works to increase sales proficiency through study and practice.
  • Stays abreast of current trends and developments in the IT world in order to have relevant discussions with customers and prospects. Becomes intimately familiar with Condusiv's products, case-studies, technical requirements, features and benefits.
  • Has an appropriate work space to work from home with a high-speed internet connection (Condusiv will supply all necessary equipment)

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with some sales background desired
  • Orientation toward a career in technical sales
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and technologically savvy
  • Ability to work independently

Inside Sales Representative (Internal), Major Account Representative (External)

The Inside Sales Representative assists the Regional Vice President of Sales in B2B selling of Condusiv’s software products to IT Professionals looking to improve application and system (server and storage) performance in small to medium sized businesses as well as large enterprises. The Inside Sales Representative supports the Regional Vice President of Sales by selling to existing customer accounts and assists in acquiring new accounts.

Job Location: Burbank, California, PST to Central Time US

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with existing customers to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, ensure they are seeing maximum value from the software, ensure they are running the latest version and fully abreast of the benefits they are receiving while uncovering and developing upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand within the account.
  • Develops new sales opportunities from leads generated by marketing campaigns and work with the Regional Vice President of Sales to take new prospects from qualification to software evaluation to sale.
  • Assists the Regional Vice President to generate quotes, work opportunities, provides sales forecasts and other duties to the end of increasing sales and meeting revenue targets.
  • Meets quotas for email and phone contacts, sales interviews and other Key Performance Indicators as assigned by management.
  • Manages his/her sales pipeline ensuring there are an adequate number of qualified opportunities in the pipeline and that these opportunities are moving through the sales stages in the expected time frame. The vast majority of these opportunities come from working with existing customers while the remaining comes from working leads sent over by marketing.
  • Liaises with sales engineers, support and others as needed to ensure any issues get handled to the end of a satisfied customer.
  • Works with channel partners who resell our software to mutual customers and assist channel partners in selling the software to new customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in a previous comparable sales position.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure sales environment and to achieve quotas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Must be coachable and a quick study.

Recommended:

  • 3 or more years of B2B selling experience to IT professionals.
  • Conversant with modern storage and virtualization technologies.
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration or related.
