hello, I'm try to install trial diskeeper 2011 but came this error " installer terminate prematurely" then Error 1719 Windows Installer Service Cannot be accessed. But I find out this could be the windows installer compatible problem. I'm using windows installer 4.5 which I updated recently. While I check my local setting in temp folder I saw this setup.ini belong to diskeeper

Hi,

I do not believe that it is the MSI version that is your problem. Especially since I am running Windows ® Installer. V 5.0.7601.17514

I suggest that you Unregister and then Re-Register the Microsoft Installer.

Bring up the command line (Start > Run. Type in CMD and click OK.)
Type msiexec /unregister then hit Enter key.
Next type msiexec /regserver then hit Enter key.

Then for good measure make sure the service is started.
From the same command line:
Type NET STOP MSISERVER then hit Enter key.
When completed, type NET START MSISERVER then hit Enter key.

Hello,

I found this posting from a Microsoft Support Rep regarding Error 1719. You have already done the first two methods, so you might try the 3rd now.

Method 1:
Start the Windows Installer service
1. Click Start, type Services.msc and press {ENTER}
2. Double-click Windows Installer
3. Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Manual
4. Click Start to start the service. Note down the error message if any.
5. Click OK.

Method 2: Unregister and re-register the Windows Installer to do that follow the steps provided below.

1. Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER, and then click OK. Even if you
do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs.
2. Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you
do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs, or you may briefly see an hourglass.
After you run this command, the operation is complete.
3. Try your Windows Installer-based application again.

Method 3: Try performing SFC scan on the computer.

1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow
[The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.]

A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time

3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue
4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"
5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.
Check the below mentioned link for further guidance on SFC scan –

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Note: Uninstall the one already present in your system from the Control Panel -> Program and Features.

both above I've tried before. No luck too. But when I install other program that is MSI base is working fine. But when I install diskeeper trial it keep say installer terminated prematurely then error 1719. So I thought is the MSI installer problem. My computer is Virus free and Antivirus protected. Just full reinstall about a week ago. But anyway thanks for the help...

Just format my PC. before everything update to latest updates. diskeeper install smoothly. after I updates windows installer 4.5. The problem shows up again installer terminated prematurely an error 1719. uninstall windows installer 4.5 and reinstall back the diskeeper. installation progress smooth and run smooth. For sure is this diskeeper installer no compatible or too sensitive to this windows installer 4.5 in Winxp. Thank you

Hi,

I have sent this issue to a senior tech to review and see if what possible solution we have here. This is not something we normally see and I have no immediate solution other than the ones I have already sent.

I will post whatever I get from the senior tech.
