Hi,

- Is there a way to add multiple servers when adding to 'Add Computers to a Custom Group'? Such as a special character between server names. Better yet, a way to do a mass import from a .txt, .csv file?

- Have a mix of x32 and x64 servers. Can I do a single Deployment policy that covers both installs? From what I see in the console, I'll need to segment x32 and x64 servers into two different Custom Groups, and use separate Deployment polices one for x32 and the other x64, if I want to deploy en masse. There a way around this?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, there is a way to add multiple computers.

Right click on the Domain when selecting a computer. A menu pops up.
Select Add Multiple Computers. You can list all the computers you want to select.

You just need to place a comma between each computer. So if you have a text file ready that you have the list comma deliniated, you can just do a copy and paste to the field. Then proceed.

As far as the X86 and X64, you will need to split them off to do the installs.

Thanks Ernest,

If not using Active Directory but adding multiples to a Custom Group, does the comma still apply?

When trying \\domain\server1, \\domain\server2 etc., the Confirm button is greyed out.

Thank you

Hello,

No, you do not need to put the entire path.

You select the domain. and then right click on the domain to bring up the menu for that domain. All you add in Add Multiple Computers are names of the computer, not the entire path. The path is understood by selecting the domain.
For example: Server1, server2,...
not: \\domain\server1, \\domain\server2 etc.
